As the councilor said, all technology has impacts and our current ruthless, global corporate mafia system, makes any endeavour into a criminal exercise. However, it is true that EVs with current battery technology do have some intractable problems. Not least that they are so full of computer and wireless technology, that they present a significant emf health hazard. Add to that their remote controlability by the state, corporations and criminals and we have a very pernicious scenario indeed.

I would say that all energy generation or conversion technology has social and environmental impacts. We need first to separate the inherent problems of particular technologies from the ways that they are implemented by a corrupt corporate system. There is not one technology that can serve all our needs. We need appropriate technology and energy conservation to reduce need to impact the environment. The choices need to be pragmatic, rather than ideological or political.

Get some people to stand against them in the next elections and make sure they never get back on the gravey train again
